wanted to share the internet with motorola surfboard 5210

I have motorola surfboard 5210 usb and I wanted to share my internet wih switch from my own pc (usb modem+ lan card) in my bedroom to my other pc at tv room

, i dont have any pc anymore to act as pc router, so my friends told me to use keiro winroute firewall to route it. can u help me how to set up the winroute i've got confused

to use the software. i had already try set the software but my pc @ tv room, still wont connect 2 the internet. or there's other suggest

my pc using win xp sp2 and my tv room pc using win xp sp1

this is my net configuration:

modem surfboard ---> my pc (try to use winroute) ---> my tv room pc

118.136.6.1 ---> (118.136.6.2 gateway 118.136.6.1) + (192.168.0.1) ---> (192.168.0.2 gateway 192.168.0.1)

my tv room already could ping till 118.136.6.1 but still wont connect the internet.

anyone could help me.

I have no idea how the Keiro firewall would perform the routing function, but I'd just use ICS if you have to have ICS. Truthfully, I'd use an Ethernet mode and a broadband router.

gee thanx, johnwill for your suggestion..i think i would buy broadband modem router...i'd already tried to use ICS..its still not working...thanx again

I think you'll be MUCH happier with a router.
