Got 5 hours to solve
Basically my linksys router got reset and half forgot how to set it back up again.
I can't view my router from a wireless connection. I can run internet through ethernet but i cannot get onto the LAN address of the router. I'm so happy to anyone that can help me before 6pm (GMT) |

Re: Got 5 hours to solve
If you have forgotten the Password and/ or Security key, you can reset the router to defaults by pressing and holding the reset button on the back . . that will allow you to go in and set up the security again

Re: Got 5 hours to solve
I forgot to write this in my first post, apologies.
I've reset it once. The LAN address page just won't load at all. I also tried to configure the router using the installation cd and as i hit confirm changes it roughly said 'Unable to connect to router.... check leads.' I am currently using ethernet through the router. If i had leads wrong i couldn't be here right? |

Re: Got 5 hours to solve
You can connect with Ethernet, but not wireless? With the cable connected, let's see this:
Start, Run, CMD to open a command prompt: Type the following command: IPCONFIG /ALL Right click in the command window and choose Select All, then hit Enter. Paste the results in a message here. If you are on a machine with no network connection, use a floppy, USB disk, or a CD-RW disk to transfer a text file with the information to allow pasting it here.

Re: Got 5 hours to solve
You have no wireless hardware that is recognized by Windows.
Start, Run, devmgmt.msc Under Network adapters, please tell me all the devices listed. Also, are there any devices anywhere in the Device Manager display with yellow ? or ! displayed?
