Modem wont cut out

Hi

I have a US Robotics 56K Faxmodem (model 5630B), and I want to make it so whenever someone calls me it cuts out so I can answer the call.

I have a dual boot system with Linux and Windows XP Pro and I don't mind which one I use as long as the modem cuts out.

I have tried tech support but they are slow to respond to e-mails and can't get through on their phoneline.

Make sure it's not disabling call waiting when dialing- if there's a *70 in the init line, delete it.

There was no *70 in the init line, and I have checked every option to make sure it is not being disabled.

Is it possible to send a command to enable it incase it isn't being enabled?

If you don't have call-waiting (check with your provider), then you'll never know when a call is coming, as it will be stopped at the switch.
