Netgear Wireless
Hello,
Over the last few days I've had a few problems with my wireless netgear router/modem. On the internet on half the websites i visit i get server not found in like a 404 error. I mainly use Firefox but it also does it on IE7 too, I also re-installed the netgear hardware again, and changed passwords etc. Still no luck, same problems even common websites like google/yahoo/ and plenty of google searches will just display server not found. Could this be caused by the router firewall? Can viruses infect a routers firmware? Any help will be most helpful!

Re: Netgear Wireless
Please supply the following info, exact make and models of the equipment please.
Make and model of the broadband modem. Make and model of the router. Connection type, wired or wireless. If wireless, encryption used, (none, WEP, WPA, or WPA2) Make/model of network card or wireless adapter. Make/model of your computer (motherboard if home-built). Version and patch level of Windows on all affected machines, i.e. XP-Home (or XP-Pro), SP2, Vista, etc. Also, please give an exact description of your problem symptoms, including the exact text of any error messages. I'd also like to see this: Start, Run, CMD to open a command prompt: Type the following command: IPCONFIG /ALL Right click in the command window and choose Select All, then hit Enter. Paste the results in a message here. If you are on a machine with no network connection, use a floppy, USB disk, or a CD-RW disk to transfer a text file with the information to allow pasting it here.

Just a side note, I use Zone alarm and has never caused any problems, this problem has lasted about a week now. Done virus checks in safe mode nothing with AVG the only this that I noticed with when scanning is there is an error in the boot sector, although no threats found. Scanned also with Spybot search and destory and Ad-Aware 2007.
