I am needing a AOL dll

I am not sure if I am posting to the right forum, but yesterday after doing a webroot scan I could no longer log on to AOL, I get the message that it is missing AOLacsd.dll. Right now I am on my hubby's pc. Is it possible to find this .dll on this pc and send it to my pc? Or is there a easier way?
Thanks for any help. If I have posted to the wrong forum, could I be directed to the correct one?

Re: I am needing a AOL dll

Hi and welcome,
You should be able to find it in c:\windows\system32. Be real careful in there. Before you even do anything, why were you doing a webroot scan? Just routine, or were you having problems.

Re: I am needing a AOL dll

Thank you for your quick reply. Yes, I was doing a routine deep scan. Which I have done countless times but never had this problem before, so still not sure they are related. Ok, so I will find this in my system 32 and yes, I know to be careful, lol. Once I find this, I am assuming I will copy and paste this, but into what folder in aol?
Thanks again.
Judy

No, to the same place:
c:windows\system32
With a little googling I saw that file listed as malware, but it could be a false positive.

Re: I am needing a AOL dll

Before trying to copy it from another pc, I would do a system restore and see if it resolves. I will see what I can find out about the file.
