losing ip address
I have a Motorola surfboard cable modem and d-link router connected to Charter cable. It loses the ip address for modem on a regular basis. I call support and they reset the ip address, but it doesn't last long. Is there anything I can do so I don't have to call support so much. Hopefully it would something simple since I'm not too handy doing this sort of thing. Thank you.

Well, I'd have them give you a new modem. Exactly how does "losing the IP address" manifest itself?
