Modem/Router just turns off when on Halo3

Hello, I need help figuring out why my modem/router combo just turns off when I'm playing Halo 3. It is very selective about when it lets me play and when it just turns off and then on when i'm trying to play. Please help. Tell me any info i need to include if necessary.

Please supply the following info, exact make and models of the equipment please.

Make/model of the broadband modem.
Make/model of the router (if any).
Connection type, wired, wireless.
If wireless, encryption used, (WEP, WPA, WPA2, etc.)
Make/model of network card or wireless adapter.
Make/model of your computer (motherboard if home-built).
Version and patch level of Windows on all affected machines, i.e. XP-Home (or XP-Pro), SP2, Vista, etc.

Also, please give an exact description of your problem symptoms, including the exact text of any error messages.

M K I have the same problem you do and its the modem/router combo thats the problem. It just doesn't work for some types of games, even though it is an XBOX Live compatible router. As far as I know, it doesn't work on Call of Duty 3, Halo 3, and Shadowrun. I just couldn't take it anymore, and had to revert back to separate router and modem.
