Lose Wireless Internet connection when uploading video file
Okay, so I have an Intel (R) PRO/Wireless 3945ABG Network connection for a Windows Vista laptop. I have Internet Explorer.
Okay so whenever I try to download or upload videos from say Youtube, the uploading bar will be going for a couple of minutes. Then the little internet icon on my menu bar tells me that I only have Local Connection and so the uploading bar always freezes midway and I can never finish uploading. I've been trying again and again and the same thing happens. The internet connection just gets lost. The wiring is good and the buttons are switched to the right setting. So what's wrong with my internet connection? |

Re: Lose Wireless Internet connection when uploading video file
I had something simular.
I bought my Latitude D620 laptop from a friend a month ago. My internet connection worked fine for a while. Then my internet connection would drop after booting the laptop after 3 minutes. The only way to get internet connection again would be to reboot the laptop. My desktop computer that was wired to the router never had a problem. I think I remember seeing that the laptop was not getting an IP from the DHCP server. I ended up reseting my router (I don't think I needed to do this.) I noticed that when I tried to make a new entry in my wireless settings page for my router, it would not let me use the default password that the router used (a 10 digit number that is on the router.) I had to make up my own, and i used a longer (12 digits) entry on both the router and my laptop. I no longer lose internet connection. |

Re: Lose Wireless Internet connection when uploading video file
Please supply the following info, exact make and models of the equipment please.
Name of your ISP (Internet Service Provider). Make and exact model of the broadband modem. Make and exact model of the router. Model numbers can usually be obtained from the label on the device. Connection type, wired or wireless. If wireless, encryption used, (none, WEP, WPA, or WPA2) Do other computers connected to the same connection experience issues?
