[SOLVED] Re: HELP network cable unplugged?

I am using the Westell Versalink Moden Model #327W with a ethernet cable to a Dell computer, and a wireless adapter to a 2nd Dell computer using Verizon DSL. Worked well for several years but am now getting a Error Message: LAN, Network Cable Unplugged.

Checked all connections are OK, am able to log on to Internet & E-Mail Ok, but the message appears more frequently and the LED lights on the router are now continously blinking. Expecting the system to stop anytime and am wondering what I have now do to correct.

Re: HELP network cable unplugged?

Even though it appears you're having the same problem, please start a new thread when you have a new issue. It's very difficult to keep two problems straight and who's working on what in a single thread.

I've created a new thread for your issue here.

Note: You will need to post complete details of your configuration and your specific issue in this new thread for us to help you.

Thanks for your cooperation.

Re: HELP network cable unplugged?

Please supply the following info, exact make and models of the equipment please.

Connection type, wired, wireless.
If wireless, encryption used, (WEP, WPA, WPA2, etc.)
Make/model of network card or wireless adapter.
Make/model of your computer (motherboard if home-built).
Version and patch level of Windows on all affected machines, i.e. XP-Home (or XP-Pro), SP2, Vista, etc.

Also, please give an exact description of your problem symptoms, including the exact text of any error messages.

Are all the computers connected to this modem disconnecting, or just one of them?

Laugh Re: HELP network cable unplugged?

Thanks for your response and instructions. However, I have already found my answer in Microsoft Knowledge Base Article # 910389.

Maybe others will find this helpful if they also receive the message
"A network cable is unplugged".
