DSL Modem to DSL Filter Cable
I'm helping someone install their DSL connection. The cable between the modem and the phone filter is too short. Can I buy a regular phone cable to replace it??? Does this line require all *four* wires to be present and connected???
(The cable that came with the modem has a regular RJ phone connector on both ends.) |

You should use DSL certified cable all the way, it's not the flat phone cable, the cable pairs are twisted in real DSL cable.
