Please help my PC can't recognise my modem!?
Please help my PC can't recognise my modem!?
This is my problem, i have reinstalled Windows XP on my PC and set up drivers and everything. But since then everything except my Scientific-Atlanta Webstar modem is working! My graphic card, my sound card, dvd rom everything is working but Windows can't find modem which is going into USB. I thought the problem was in USB driver install but when I put my mp3 player (usb stick) it finds it and installs it, but when i turn on modem it doesnt find it and in my modem driver tutorial it says the windows have to find the modem and then i have to install it. I tried everything, from turning on & off modem, inserting in another usb utor and nothing. I called my ISProvider and he said the problem isnt with the modem they checked it. I know the problem is with some driver but i tried reinstalling everything and nothing helps. Only hardware that the windows is finding is VIA BUS MASTER IDE CONTROLLER and I have installed 4in1 drivers but again windows says that has found new hardware. PLS HELP! |

Re: Please help my PC can't recognise my modem!?
Go to driveragent.com and do a free scan. Save the page that comes up. It will list drivers that need to be updated. Then go to site for driver that you think is problem and read everything to make sure it is the one you need.
