[SOLVED] IE 6 problem
Hello. My OS is Windows XP Media Center 2005. I am using internet explorer 6 with a dsl connection. I do not use a proxy server for my connection but IE 6 keeps checking this option. I have to uncheck after every computer restart. I use Mcafee VirusScan Plus. Any ideas as to how to fix this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

on your Lan settings from internet options under connections, check the option "automatically detect settings" click on apply and then ok. and make sure "never use a dial connection" is ticked.

Actually, you really want to uncheck ALL the options under LAN Settings.
