Router Connections
Hi everyone.I hope I'm on the right thread. Since getting broadband a couple of months ago, I wanted my main network computer to use the broadband connection on my wife's machine. Purchased a 4port cable/dsl broadband router (Safecom SBRU 10100) with usb print server. I had no problems for the 1st month or so, but over the past couple of weeks, could not connect to the net and found after a lot of hair pulling, that the router had to be reset. This is happening approx 4/5 a week. Is this normal or have I got the configuration wrong? Last edited by Sirius B; 07-26-2007 at 08:04 AM. |

Re: Router Connections
If you have to reset that often, I'd start by seeing if there is upgraded firmware for the router. Have you connected directly to the modem to see if you still have disconnections?

Re: Router Connections
Thanks for getting back to me.
Yes, I have disconnected router & have had no disconnections, which left the router as a problem. Will check for firmware updates & will let you know if this cures the problem. |

Re: Router Connections
If not, it's time to shop for a new router.
