usb out on bt router
Hi, I have a BT Voyager 210 router. It connects to this pc via an RJ45.
There is a redundant usb port on it and I wondered if this would allow me to network another computer. This second pc is presently sharing internet using a 4port Netgear hub but I cannot get the hub to work as a pc-pc device, ie, I cannot link the two pc's, only share the router. I have been told that I need a switch not a hub to link the pc's and if so I will get one but if the usb will do it, fine. The second pc is only a wall away (3mtrs) This pc is WMCE and 'tother is XP pro. I am waiting on an answer from BT (yawn) but thought I would give you guys a go too. Many thanks Dave. |

Re: usb out on bt router
I'm pretty sure the USB connection is just another point on the switch on that router, connect it and see.
