[SOLVED] Digital Phone slowing everything down?

Hi,
We recently had a digital phone installed, and ever since then the computer has slowed down dramatically. The phone company however swears up and down that it doesn't affect the internet in any way.
The phone was installed on the 16th. The best results I've had since then with a speed test was on the 18th with an download speed of 7513 kbs and upload at 1380 kbs. And they just keep dropping. My most recent test clocks in at 4318 kbs and an upload speed at a whopping 43 kbs.
I've never had any problems with my cable company, and the phone hasn't worked since it was installed. The phone company is blaming the whole problem on the cable company.

Who'd of thought?
My question is, are digital phones capable of affecting the speed of your cable in any way?
In my opinion theres no other explanation. Yet every digital phone service I've seen says otherwise.

Not nearly enough info. Is this "digital phone" connected through your Internet ISP and using the same broadband?

How about the make/model of ALL the network and phone equipment, and exactly how everything is connected?
