[SOLVED] VOIP/Router connection problems

Hey all,

I just signed up for VOIP and am getting really pissed off....

I got the box on Wednesday, plugged it in, and the connection worked fine. I plugged in the phone and the company gave me a temp number till they ported over the old number(canceling it from Verizon and pulling it to them).

Then it just stopped working. Dunno why...

My number has since been ported and I am now forwarding it to my cell(wasting my minutes).

When it stopped working I started troubleshooting. Everything seemed to be working fine. cable tested good, router port tested good. Just when I plug the VOIP box into the router, it does not detect(or light up)

I have a Netgear rangemax and it has numbers 1-4 on the front that light up when an active connection is plugged in. It simply won't light up.

I thought the NIC in the unit was dead, but no luck, I had another sent to me and I am getting the same thing. I have tried all ports(all work successfully by the way) on the router and tried 4 known working cables. Recycled power on everything plenty of times....

The troubleshooting book they gave is a joke. it says I can change settings via a web interface on the box by going to ip 192.168.0.1 - but I obviously cannot get to it if I cannot connect...

I dunno if its a router setting or what but I cannot find it if it is... is it possible I got a second bad unit?!?!?!

Sombody please help!!!!
