Is this the right firmware (D-Link router)

Ok so I figured I might as well update my router's firmware since it's from 2005, so I go to the website, and they show like 4 different revisions, and they all say letter then 1, mine is A3.

So basically can I use the A1 for my A3? I know that screwing up firmware can render your hardware unusable, and it's not really giving me any problems except the range seems kind of low, it's a DI-524, here's the link

http://support.dlink.com/products/revision.asp
Thanks!

Re: Is this the right firmware (D-Link router)

Yep, from what I gather on the D-Link site, the A version of the router uses the A version of the software.

I doubt a firmware upgrade will do anything for the range, but it's hard to say.

Ok thanks, I didn't want to rush into anything :) I doubt it will do anything for range either, but it does say "Performance Increase" or something, so you never know, thanks!
