Hello to everyone
I do not know, if there is a possibility to find out, what is my external IP-Address of my router, trying to find out over cmd. I can find out the IP by going onto www.whatismyip.com but I would like to know, is there a possibility to find out over cmd. thanx for any suggestions blueeyedguy_moi |

Try Gibson research at http://grc.com. Run one of the ports tests and it will show your ip addy.

Dear Worren
thank you for your reply. With your answer I still have the problem, how can I get the ip-address without using a web-browser ? What I wanna do is, to find out the external IP of my router over the command prompt. So see it as a challenge to get to the result without the browser, if that is possible. thank you again blueeyedguy_moi |

You can not find your external IP address (if is your router IP) using the windows commands since it is not saved on your computer. You have to connect to the router, may be using telnet if you do not want to use the http.
