Up-to 8meg available, test shows 216kbps

Im located in the UK (east anglia) and ran a test on http://www.speedtest.net/.
I have a BT-HomeHub (DSL)
The test shows my D/L to be 216kbps and my U/L to be 82kbps
The Distance i am from where i tested (london) is 50miles
Latency is 37ms(although i have no clue what that is)

I tested this on my laptop connected wirelessly to the Hub.
I only have 2 PC's connected to it, the other being a desktop connected with wires.
I have WEP security.

I hope all this can help you help me :)

Howdy Gary...

I have a 6meg download speed and 1 meg upload speed. But with DSL you will hardly get that speed.
I usually test around 300 to 400kbps.. I would try a couple more test sites.. Before I become worried.

That all depend how far you are away from the closest ceenter.. (I forget the word used) I am pretty far away that is why I get so low of speeds.

Ya the thing about DSL is you need to be near there towers to get the max speed. Granted I pay for Business class DSL I had to so I can get the speeds I have now..
