I need a new connection...

OK ppl, heres how it is.. right now im 18, i pay my parents $200 a month cheep rent i know and it includes utilities and they let me have my room with the bathroom inside and they leave me alone so its all good, they also let me use their wireless internet, its cox high speed internet, with the cox phone hooked to it, its pluged into a wrt54g linksys router, which has been on almost 24 7 for 2 years running, anyways... i work the night shift and get home at midnight when evrybodys asleep, and half the time i get home, my bit torrent is still downloading, verry slowly, but if i open internet explorer it wont connect, i try to repair the connection and it says aquiring ip adresse for like 20 mins, and then it says limited connection..... i get no internet still... sometimes it doesent even detect the network when its on, like 30 feet away! so if i cant get this fixed id like to sign up for a new internet service. called up cox, and they said they cant keep 2 accounts seprate when its the same house... >: | called verizon, which is a communications provider i like, buut they dont even offer services in my aria, i also looked on the internet for some high speed, and ill i find is stupid yahoo internet... and it looks like i would have to have a seprate phone line installed to get the dsl, and i dont think thatd work with cox phone, so *** do i do.. im sick of going into my parents room to reset the modem and router evry morning, and have no internet the night before!!... my parents are totally stupid and unresonable, i cant even mention the word "Internet" without getting bitched at, so getting them to hook me up with a router on their account is unthinkable so what do i do??

If you had checked the Tech Support Forum Rules & Conduct, you'd see we provide no support for P2P applications.

The solution to your problem is simple. Buy the music and/or software that you're downloading with P2P, and you won't be hanging up the router.
