Modem Problem - CA Software
I just un-installed a Trial Version of CA software, Internet Security Suite 2007, and then installed from disk a purchased copy with license. Suddenly my modem won't work. I have gone to the control panel in Win2000 Pro on this PC, and queried the modem... that works, but I can't get it to 'dialup' ... as if the modem doesn't get a dial tone...??? but I have dial tone on the phone when I lift the receiver.
Any Ideas? |

Even though it appears you're having the same problem, please start a new thread when you have a new issue. It's very difficult to keep two problems straight and who's working on what in a single thread.
I've created a new thread for your issue here. Thanks for your cooperation.

Re: Dial Modem Problem
Thank you johnwill, but I haven't had a reply to this issue. I finally just blew the setup completely away and reinstalled, and I brought the PC back with me so I could use broadband to download the patches.

Re: Dial Modem Problem
Sorry we couldn't help here. It's been a long time since I had to deal with dial-up issues.
