Repaired DSL wire

(Wasnt too sure where too put this)

Earlier today my DSL wire was stressed and snapped, i managed to repair it by exposing the copper wires and reattaching them by twisting the copper wire together and taping them with Electric tape, I was wondering if this would at all hamper my internet speed?

It shouldn't. It's just telephone wire. While it's conceibale that it may be shielded, it still won't make a difference

Remember that DSL really wants to run on twisted pair all the way to the modem. If you're using flat telephone cable, that CAN affect your speeds.
