Question DSL and PcAnyWhere Compatibility

Hello,
I have been an electronics technician and computer tech. for 23 yrs and only now I have just signed up for and installed Verizon DSL. I love it and use it for personal and business use at home.I however am having problems using my dial up PcAnyWhere connections to various servers. I am able to use my business dialup ISP and connect to dialup RAS servers but for some reason I cannot connect to several dialup PcAnyWhere Hosts. I at this moment in time cannot seem to resolve this issue. I have not gotten to the point yet to test another pc on the line but just joined this forum to see if this is a known issue with DSL perhaps interfering with my PcAnyWhere dialup connections. It's strange how I can connect to my dialup ISP obviously over the modem and also several RAS servers but not my Pc Any connections. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

If you're behind a router, you might need to enable port forwaring for the ports that PcAnywhere uses in order for it to connect.

Thanks Fox Yes I am behind a router. I'll look in to that but to be more specific these PcAnyWhere connections is strictly dial up. i.e. a remote connection set up with the 7digit phone number I launch the connection, modem dials that number, the host where that number is connected answers, all via the software app. no networking involved. When ordering a dsl connection I wonder if some sort of frequency is added to the line therefore causing some sort of interference w/my modem. May need to go back to the basics of dsl theory.

Hi Fox,
I am using Voip to dialup to the Host(on PcAnywhere) while Host computer is on normal land line. Unable to connect. Forwarded the port 5631 for Pcanywhere. But still not working. Anyother suggestion?
