Web browser connection to Wireless USB Adaptor
I'm at work and I'm trying to connect my standalone terminal to another standalone
My terminal has the Wireless USB Adaptor in it and it has successfully connected to the Netgear (wireless) modem on the other terminal. But... I can't seem to get the Web browser to connect to the Adaptor, as internet explorer and Firfox was previously connected to our main network connection internet (which was very poor, if you ask me) When I try internet connection wizard it only give me the option for Com1 or direct cable connection... Grrr Snarl Grrr!! Please help? |

You need a web server on the other terminal in order to establish an HTTP connection. What are you really trying to do?

Basically, I'm trying to get an internet connection on two standalones pc, without actually having a long cable across the room.
The USB adapter picks up the connection to the other terminal and the signal strength is 100%, but it's the web browser (Internet explorer) thats just not getting the connection, in the setting its saying it's still connected through to old method (our main network) I have the same set up at home, my main pc has the router, my laptop uses the USB adapter, but my laptop picked up the connection without any adjustment to the WB settings. Are you trying to share the Internet? If so, you need to configure ICS (Internet Connection Sharing) on the machine with the Internet connection. Then you'll configure the wireless adapters on both ends in Ad-Hoc mode to make the connection.
