I have a hp pavilion 6330 how do i find out what manuf my modem is my computer crashed and i lost everything and i need to get my 256 colors back i know where to go to get it but it's not there.

Try running Everest home edition... it should be able to tell you what product you have. http://www.oldversion.com/program.php?n=everesthome

www.hp.com can give you most of what you need for that laptop.
