donwload speed help

I have always had a reasonably good download speed, around 150 kb/s but now I only seem to download at around 50 kb/s and it's extremely slow. Why is it doing this? And how can I correct it? Any help would be great :)

Not enough info to offer an opinion. What kind of broadband account do you have? What make/model is your modem, any router, and what version/patch level of Windows are you using? Did you change anything about the configuration around the time the speed decreased?

Sorry, I had a bi of a system clean-up, deleted a few unused programs and my speed shot up back to 250 kb/s, sorry for wasting your time.

Good housekeeping always helps, far too often we run around panicking (talking in general and NOT pointing the finger) when we should just get out the dustpan and brush and get rid of the cobwebs!
