Internet Ports

I was browsing the internet last night and then diecided to play some, counter strike source, i opened the game and tried to join a server buy the internet connection of my new netgear dg834v3 router just kept dropping when i tried to join a server, but when i quit out of the game it will regain connection and let me browse the internet, are there any ports i should open?

for cs you should have to.

is this the first time this occured ?

go to www.portforward.com and select the router and then counter-strike source. it will give you detailed information how todo so.

No it occurred before with my other router dg834v2 but that broke so this is the replacement

i have some ports enabled, but it dont work. And i cant run the pcconfig program to automatically port forward it for me :(
