Cant connect to my WiFi
I currently have a Wireless Router set up on a cable internet connection, and one Laptop running WinXP that can connect to the internet. I'm in the process of setting up a computer running WinME on that wireless network with a Belkin USB adaptor.
Now, the trouble is that according to the Belkin Wireless Monitor, I'm not getting through to the internet. It says that I'm connected to the Router, but that's where it stops. Upon logging into my router and checking, it doesn't show the WinME box as connected. I am running the WPA-PSK encryption over my network (TKIP) I would appreciate any help that you all can give me. |

Advanced WEP encryption is not always compatible with all wireless devices. Some manufacturers have small incompatibilities.
I would fall back to a basic, plain vanilla, 64 bit WEP and also check both the router and client vendors support sites for possible firmware updates. I do not usually implement higher security WEP on networks that have a lot of variation in end user equipment to avoid future conflicts. JamesO |

If all the devices support WPA, it "should" work. As James says, try different types of encryption to see where the problem lies. Also, try updating the drivers for the machine with the problem.
