Speed increase

My isp more than doubled the download and upload speeds. That's good. However, they went to docsis 2, and my modem will not do that, so I'm stuck at the old speed. I'm gonna buy a new modem, probably the Motorola 5120. With the new modem am I going to have to call the isp, or will it be a simple swap out procedure? Insightbb is the isp.

You will need to call the ISP so they came register the MAC address of the new modem in their system.
