I have a crazy problem. When I first start my computer my internet works fine. Then after closing my internet window the next time I open internet explorer the message I get is that the server can not be found. The one that comes up if there is no internet connection at all. I restart my computer and then the internet works fine untill I close all the internet windows and try to open another window up. What's going on? I am running Windows XP with service pack 2. I've run virus checks, I have windows defender, spybot search and destroy, and tge AT&T online protection pack.
Thank You For Your Time. |

Can this be related to Microsoft Update? I tried to run an update for internet explorer and the internet dropped. I open up internet connections and right click my local area connection and click on repair. It says can not repair the DNS cache. Then the internet will work for a little longer. Just seeing if this helps. I also checked the firewall allowed applications and had to click on Mozilla Firefox. Then that made the internet work for a little while. I've run all spyware and virus checks. I have Yahoo online protection and windows defender beta 2. I've run the checks with the system restore off and nothing showed up. I think that the computer is running really well. Also a strange thing is that limewire works fine even when the internet explorer says that it can not find the server.
Thank You |
