Routers!
Ok, Im looking for a new router for xbox live.
The one i currently have (netgear) is being a pain in the ***. Whenever i'm trying to get in a game all the lights and such on it shut off. Then one by one they start appearing again, in the mean time im not connected to the internet. ...I would like to know acouple good routers for me. What firmware is? Do i get firmware from my router, if not where do i get it? Do i want firmware? please and thank you. |

I don't do games, so I'm not sure what router you might consider. Several manufacturers make "gaming" routers, presumably designed to minimize issues with games.
"Firmware" is the software that makes the router go, all of them will have firmware. There are frequently firmware upgrades that fix bugs or improve the router's features, you download the updates from the manufacturer's website.
