Getting the full speed out of my 10-12Mb connection
Hi Guys
So I just got Bethere's 24Mb broadband. I am 1.8km from the exchange and I was told I'd get approx 10-12Mb. My router/modem is synched with the details attached. Been on Utorrent over the last day and I have been uploading at 140KBp/s - which is great! My download speeds hit a max of 850KBp/s on a well seeded torrent last night. However all this great speed with torrents, on a MS download or Apple Itunes download (both servers I'd expect can pump out ridiculous speeds) my downloads start at about 1.3MB/s but after 10 seconds level off at about the 400KB/s level. Any thoughts on this? If my router is saying I have a 13968Kbps download connection what sort of speeds should I be getting? Cheers Mark |
