Always have to powercycle DSL modem and wireless router

In our office we have DSL. The Actiontec modem is connected to my computer via ethernet cable, and then the rest of our computers all connect wireless via our Linksys wireless router. Every couple of days or so, in the middle of working (all of our programs for work are web-based), everything internet-related stops responding. If I unplug both the modem and router for a few seconds and plug them back in, everything works again just fine. Any idea why this is happening and what can be done to prevent it from happening again?

Re: Always have to powercycle DSL modem and wireless router

goto dsl reports and see if any one else is haveing the same problem i had a simular issue with westel virzon modem thru dsl reprots i found out i was not alone so if others have the same issue the modem is defective calll your isp and get it replced seoucndly it is not a good idea to have any type of work done over a network en=ven worse yet is wireless make sure that passwords are very strong and your wireless network is encrypted a wireless router signal can be picked up from around 80 feet and many indviduals love nothing better than to drive around and see if they van break into wireless acess points
