Internet not working after reinstalling windows!
Hi,
Yesterday i reinstalled Windows XP on my girlfriends computer, and formatted the HD. The re-install went fine but now i've installed all of the software that is needed, the internet does not work. Their ISP is wanadoo and when connecting i get the error message- 'invalid username and/or password on the domain' (or something very similar) They know their username and password and they have been entered correctly. I have gone onto the internet options and the 'Domain' section on the settings of the connection that has been setup, is blank? is this correct? Sorry but i dont know the specs of her computer, all i know is that it's about 2 years old and wasnt the best computer at the time! Should the username be like- something@somethingelse.fsnet.co.uk? In the telephone number thing, it says '0', is this correct? Has anybody else had this problem or is it just me? I really do need help asap please because it's not my comp! this time i messed up big style lol. Thanks, Daz.... |

Solved the problem, I telephoned them and they said that the username was 'somethingelse.fsnet.co.uk@fs' which is different from the one that was being used before XP was re-installed! Ah well, at least it works now.
Thanks anyway, D4z.... |
