Re Sky (Slightly off Forum Topic)

Do anyone know what happens if one disconnects the SKY telephone connection. Have had Sky installed, it comes with a necessary telephone connection to the box (they say). I will not have Sky connected to the power supply at any time.(Have another satellite system in use).Although I signed up and pay a monthly subscription cannot see how 'they' can force me to have the box connected to power and telephone attached. I am taking Sky Broadband, their equipment is installed in my local exchange. I asked at one of the Sky travelling shows yesterday, the abrupt and very dismissive answer was, yes, it has to be connected, no further explanation given. In fact am considering removing the Sky Box and storing it.

It doesnt HAVE to be connected to a phone line, well mine isnt, but i dont use the inveractive feature or e-mails or anything... I think to use those it has to be connected to a phone line because i think thats how they charge you extra? like with box office.
Thanks, Daz....

Asked again at the Sky travelling caravan. Said. If not connected to a telephone line you are in breach of contract and have to pay the amount of £120.00.
They also said, thay were not employed by Sky but were an independant outfit operating the 'Show Caravan'. Told me to phone Sky, at their 0870 number/call centre/wait in a queue, no ways, till hell freezes over!!!
