Excellent wireless signal, no internet?!?!?!!?

I recently installed a wireless lan card into my desktop, the installation and everything went fine....however, i cannot get either IE or FireFox browsers to work, nor AIM, so nothing is connecting. The signal goes from sometimes being Low, the Good, so i moved the dekstop closer to the router, like right next to it, and got an Excellent connection. But still nothing would load....on either IE or FireFox....any suggestions? thanks for the help.

Are you using encryption on the router?

not that i know of. i restored the router back to factory defaults a few times. still nothing.....

Go to run type cmd, then at the prompt type "IPCONFIG /ALL", then right click in the command window and choose Select All, then hit Enter.

am i to post that in here? its got my ip and everything else on it, which numbers to i need to delete so its not shown here?
