2WIRE 1701HG on SP destop and Linksys WPC54g on ME laptop

I understand there is a way to make the PCMCIA WPC54G communicate with the 2WIRE 1701HG. I have tried Infrastructure and Ad-hoc. Either cannot acess or if access point accessed, then no Internet. I localed a forum with a suggested solution via SBC/YAHOO search (but no other browser), but SBC/YAHOO continuously crashed.

Access the 2wire via the setup web page and make sure the hyperG feature is turned off. This only works with 2 wire cards. You want infratructure mode.
