Verizon DSL/ethernet card???
Hi,
I have Verizon DSL which has a speed up to 3 Mps (?), and when I do a broadband speed test, it usually says my speed is 1.5. I've tried different speed testing sites, and most of them come up showing the same. Am I being limited to the 1.5 range because of the ethernet card that is in my PC? I have a Dell Dimension 8300, and I believe the ethernet card is 10/100? Sorry for not knowing the right terms to use here. I've seen that there are 10/100/1000 ethernet cards out there, is that what I need? Thanks for any help! |

I'm guessing that you simply are too far from the Telco CO to have the full 3mbit bandwidth. Even a 10mbit Ethernet card would be fine for that kind of ISP speed. It's not the Ethernet card.
