Not Connecting properly
Hi, I am having trouble with one of my older computers. For about a year I have had an ADSL connection to 3 computers one of them being a PC running 2000.
Recently I had to unplug the usb internet cable from this pc for a while, when i put it back in later the internet doesn't seem to be working. I have checked the connections and the computer says it is connected but whenever I go into a browser it cannot find the website. I have tried firefox, explorer and netscape but the same problem occurs. The internet works on all the other computers that are running off this modem. I have checked all connections, but can't find an answer. I posted this in the wrong forum earlier, so hopefully I get a respnse here. If you could help that would be much appreciated. Sorry if this is a simple question. |

It would help a bunch if you told us the make/model of the router and modem, as well as what kind of USB "thing" you are connecting with.

Well, the first step for me would be to lose the USB network connection and connect it using Ethernet. USB is infamous for issues with network connectivity.
