Router advice
Ello,
I got a linksys befvp41 router a couple of weeks ago and it seemed to work straight out of the box, which it does and has been , sort of..... Every now and then ill have to hold in the reset button in order to get back online, this is very rare and really what im posting for is just general advice on setting this thing up a ive never used any type of router before. I have 3 pc's connecting to the router via ethernet and 95% of the time everything is ok so it feels like i just havnt set it up right, also when i restart sometimes in the task bar bottom right the network symbol shows up with a yellow dot saying trying to establish connectivity or something. Basically if someone could give me a run through of how i should set this up includingstatic i.p address setup etc. it would be wicked , coz at the moment i have to use dc++ on passive mode coz i dont know how to forward ports etc. I do know my static i.p address just to save people explaining it. Thanks . |
