Dropping Connection
I have had this problem for about a week now. I have Cable internet from Insight Broadband. I have a Motorola SB5100 modem and a Wireless-G Linksys router. My internet will remain working fine for a while then all of the sudden just drops internet connection. The lights on the modem are Power - Solid and Send- blinks constantly, and PC/Activity blinks but the Online light is blank. Sooner or later (sometimes hours, sometimes within minutes) the internet will come back up and will work fine for a while again. I have used the Network diagnotics on my computer when the internet is online and when it is down... Here is what they said.

I have thought maybe my modem is going dead, but not sure and do not want to waste money if its not the modem. What do you guys think the problem is? |
