New DSL Modem/Router

I upgraded my internet service package from AT&t from the Express package to the Pro package. And with that I thought I might as well as get a new router from AT&t because my another one was getting pretty old. However, when attempting to turn on the new router (2Wire, 2700HG-B) the Power light is red. And none of the other lights (ethernet, wireless, dsl, and internet) show up.

On my old 2Wire router(1800HG Gateway) it showed green lights for (phone, broadband link, and local network).

What should I do?

I appreciate all the help. Thank you

vynl65-did you change out the power adapters when you changed the modem? The adapters for the two modems are different voltages-they will NOT exchange for one another.Just did the same changeout my self, had to check twice to get it working, and i love the new access point!

A red power light and no other lights means that the router is now a paper weight. If you did use the power adapter that came with the new router, send it back, it is still under warranty. In the box should be a return sticker. Call at&t and tell them to send you a new one.
