router problems
just got a linksys router. the computer that I am on now connects to the internet but the other computer says limited or no connectivity. Why is the other computer not able to get online? It also shows sending packets but not recieving

If these are both wired connections, are you sure you installed the router correctly? Make sure the broadband modem is connected to the WAN/Internet connection, and the computers are connected to the LAN/Network connections.
Also, the make/model of the modem and the router would help, as well as the version/patch level of Windows in use. If you turn off your computer, does the other computer then connect? If not, are you sure the cable is good? How about trying a different router port? On the non-working computer, do this. For 98 or ME, Start, Run, COMMAND to open a DOS window: --- or --- For 2K or XP, Start, Run, CMD to open a DOS window: Type the following command: IPCONFIG /ALL Right click in the command window and choose Select All, then hit Enter. Paste the results in a message here.
