netgear with osx
I have an ibook g4 that im trying to get going with my house's netgear router. everytime i try to get connected, it says there's an error. if i go into a coffee shop or something, it works fine, so i know it has something to do with this specific router. any ideas?

By default the netgear is set to DHCP or auto assign an address.
Go to routerlogin.net to go to your routers setup page. The login is admin and the password is password or 1234. If DHCP is not working for you, you can setup your ip, subnet and dns manually. Set the ip to 192,168.0.50 subnet: 255.255.255.0 dns server to 192.168.0.1 See if you can connect like this. If have a netgear router at the house. I hope it uses the same #'s as yours. It is worth a try.
