This happens when I run a server browser for a game or any such thing. EXCEPT Webbrowsing. ONLY Server Pinging. After pinging about half the typical number of servers for a game, my modem just completely stops sending data. I get about half the number of game servers there really are, and after pinging all of these servers, my modem will not send data for about 2-4 minutes. I've never really bothered to count. But, I'm trying to figure out why this happens. It's happened ever since I got the DSL modem about 3 years ago. It's a Visionnet (in my opinion a piece of garbage). Is there a way to stop the modem from cutting off byte transmission after pinging that many servers?

Could this be your ISP limiting your access in some manner? This sounds like some restrictions on traffic to me...
