14 usb modems per machine

We are looking to hook up 14modems per machine to pull data from clients, and I was wondering if anyone has had anyluck with this many modems on a machine. second questions is this possible with 2 7port powered hubs, or do they require 4 4pt pci cards.

You'd be MUCH better off using expansion cards to make this network. USB is just too slow for that much data and the processing overhead from 14 modems would be enormous.

You would be better off with something like this.
