I'm afraid we need to know a bit more about the network, and the specific machines in question.

Make/model of the router in use. Make/model of the network cards or MB if they're embedded boards. The processor used and speed of the machines in question. Version/patch level of Windows in use.

Specific information about the files that get corrupted. All files, or just specific types or sizes of files? Do files get corrupted in both directions, or only copying in one direction?

Make/model of the router in use
- The connection is made through a U.S. Robotics USR7908 Switch

Make/model of the network cards or MB if they're embedded boards.
- My motherboard is a Gigabite GA-K8NSC-939 with embedded network slot.

The processor used and speed of the machines in question.
- AMD Athlon 3200+

Version/patch level of Windows in use.
- XP SP2, fully patched with updates

Specific information about the files that get corrupted. All files, or just specific types or sizes of files?
- Seems only large files (100mb+) are corrupted, non type specific

Do files get corrupted in both directions, or only copying in one direction?
One direction, on transfer to my machine.

Cheers
Paul

Well, the good news is, I've seen this before. The bad news is, I never did get it to work properly. In my case, it was an older and slower machine on one end, and I got rid of the machine.

A couple of things to try. Download the latest network driveers for the machines in question. Buy an inexpensive NIC and install it in your machine, see if that solves the problem.

How can I ensure that the old network drivers are removed?

You don't really have to remove the old drivers, if they don't match the hardware, they won't be used.
