N.A.S. and printing
Hi there, i just got myself a Buffalo 120 gig lan N.A.S. Its working ok (i can see it, write to it, etc.) but it's beyond me how to use it as a print server.
I can't find the right driver/s to copy to the nas. I've got the cd but can't decipher the bit/bits i need. Does the fact that its a multifunction device (HP 1215) mean i'm stuffed ? TIA Davy (xp-pro; ozenda router) |

Yep. :) Many low-cost printers use the Windows GDI to render the pages, and they are not compatible with print servers. Also, even multi-function devices that will work on a print server lose all but the print function, i.e. the Scanner/FAX won't work there.
