ftp hell
Ok here is my setup:
PC1 and PC2 conected to a Netgear rp614 router conected to a Webstar cable modem. My internet connection is fine today i tried to log on to my webspace using SmartFTP as i have always done and it would connect but not allow my password after frantic calls to my provider i tried again. This time it would not log in at all and i get the message "connection failed because connected party did not respond after a period of time or established connection failed because connected host has failed to respond" When i go to command line and type "ftp (my address)" that just comes up ftp: Connect: Unknown error number I have so far Switched off zone alarm and spyguard Upgraded my router firmware. Switched of my comp, router etc. But nothing seems to work, any ideas. Any help is gratfully recived. |

Have you tried connecting directly to the broadband modem and seeing if that allows the connection? This will eliminate anything about the router as being the issue.
