Hello all, I have a Gateway laptop, networked into a p2p system. I can "see" the laptop, I can use the laptop, but I cannot save a file to ANY folder I have marked as "shared"
The message pops up "cannot access file, check security privelges over network" I have XPPRO, old WIN98 no problems sharing. What have I missed or done wrong in security areas? Thanks for the help. |

Check the shared permissions for the folders you are trying to share. It probably is set to "read only". You should give the user (or Everyone) the appropriate permissions to add files to the folder. Try giving yourself full control.

These changes have to be made on the laptop they cannot be made remotely.
